General Educational Development (GED)

The Center for Workforce Development offers comprehensive GED Preparation courses to help students earn their State of New Jersey High School Diploma. Our program is designed to ensure success on the General Education Development (GED) test, covering four key subjects: Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA), Mathematical Reasoning, Science, Social Studies.

Students learn strategies for tackling various types of questions and managing test time effectively. The program emphasizes critical thinking and problem-solving skills, essential for the GED and beyond. By providing targeted instruction and test-taking strategies, our GED prep program builds skills, boosts confidence, and enhances students’ chances of passing the GED while advancing their educational and career goals.

How to Get Started:

Step 1: Complete the Application form
Click on the ‘Interest Form’ link to access the application form; fill it out and submit!

Step 2: Register for the pre-assessment test
Once your application form is complete and reviewed by a coordinator, you will receive a link to register for the pre-assessment test. The test fee is $25.

Step 3: Take the pre-assessment test
A pre-assessment will help determine which subjects you need to focus on to prepare for the GED exam. You can take your pre-assessment online at the CCM testing center. Your pre-assessment will tailor your focus to the areas you need—whether that’s all subjects or just the ones essential for passing the GED exam.

Step 4: Register for a GED prep course and finalize enrollment
A coordinator will review your scores with you and provide you with a link to any of the course subjects you choose to register for.

  • Online tutoring sessions every Friday from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Get the extra help you need to succeed!
